Scope
Technical report presenting fundamental information on the visual task of driving at night: the perceptual process (visual attention, detection, recognition, decision-making, visually guided responses), fine and coarse spatial vision, near-threshold detection and colour vision in night driving, how the night driver acquires information from the roadway scene, and required sight distances for major driving subtasks.
