Scope
Defines test methods and performance requirements for breath-alcohol ignition interlocks having a mouthpiece, used to prevent a vehicle from starting when the driver's breath alcohol concentration exceeds a set threshold; aimed at drink-driving-offender programmes and general preventive use. Intended for manufacturers and type-test laboratories. Excludes ambient-air alcohol sensors and installation methods.
