Scope

Sets the procedures and technical specifications for emergency lane-keeping systems (ELKS) under GSR2. ELKS combines a lane departure warning system (LDWS) that warns the driver of an impending unintended lane departure with a corrective directional control function (CDCF) that automatically adjusts the vehicle's trajectory. The system operates between 65 km/h and 130 km/h and must intervene at the latest when the vehicle has crossed a lane marking by 0.3 m. Mandatory for M1/N1 from 6 July 2022 (new types) and 7 July 2024 (all new vehicles).
