Scope

Specifies how in-cabin sensing systems are tested and scored for detecting a child unintentionally left in a parked vehicle and escalating an alert to the driver/owner or third-party services, including hot-weather scenarios. The driver-facing aspect is the in-vehicle and remote warning chain that prompts the responsible adult to act. Version 1.3 (23 September 2024); implementation from 2025.
