Scope
Specifies performance requirements and test procedures for forward vehicle collision warning systems (FCW), which monitor the vehicle ahead and warn the driver of imminent rear-end collision risk. Applies to cars, trucks, buses and motorcycles on roads with curve radii exceeding 125 m. Covers warning timing and the driver-alert interface.
