Scope
Amendment 1 (2021) to ISO 16505:2019, which gives minimum safety, ergonomic and performance requirements and test procedures for Camera Monitor Systems (CMS) used as indirect-vision devices to replace mandatory inside and outside rear-view mirrors. The amendment revises specific indirect-vision performance parameters — observer reference point (ORP), field of view (FeV) and minimum modulation-transfer-function metrics MTF10MIN(1:1) in the horizontal and vertical directions. Maintained as a revision to the already-catalogued ISO 16505:2019.
