Scope
Specifies system requirements and test methods for Lane Change Decision Aid Systems (LCDAS), which warn the driver of potential collisions with vehicles to the side and/or rear moving in the same direction during lane-change manoeuvres. Applies to forward-moving cars, vans and straight trucks in highway situations (excludes motorcycles and articulated vehicles).
