Scope
Specifies basic control strategies, minimum functional requirements, basic driver interface elements, and test procedures for collision evasive lateral manoeuvre systems (CELM). A CELM supports the driver in avoiding collisions with objects in the forward path by generating yaw moment to control lateral movement when a collision is predicted; the manoeuvre can be performed automatically or initiated by the driver and supported by the system. Applies to light vehicles and heavy trucks; vehicles with trailers are out of scope.
