Scope
Specifies a hierarchical taxonomy for the operating conditions that define the operational design domain (ODD) of an automated driving system, and a definition format for an ODD using that taxonomy. The ODD comprises the static and dynamic attributes within which an ADS is designed to function, classified into categories such as scenery, environmental conditions, and dynamic elements. Mainly applicable to Level 3 and Level 4 ADS and intended to be both human- and machine-readable.
