Scope
Specifies a method for establishing eyellipses — 3D statistical models of the 95th/99th percentile driver eye locations — used to design and evaluate the driver's field of view (mirror placement, pillar geometry, wiped/defrosted areas, display placement). Applies to SAE J1100 Class A and Class B vehicles. 4th edition.
