Scope
Specifies requirements for the performance of speech communication, covering verbal alert and danger signals, information messages and general speech communication. Describes practical ways to predict and assess subjective and objective speech performance, addressing speech intelligibility, speech quality, vocal effort and environmental effects. Relevant to in-vehicle voice/speech HMI and verbal warnings; non-speech auditory signals are covered by ISO 7731.
