Scope
Defines the lane departure warning device as one that warns the driver when the vehicle departs its travel lane without the driver's intention. Mandates fitment on buses (excluding light buses) and freight/special vehicles over 3.5 t gross weight. Directly driver-facing: issues a perceptual warning prompting the driver to correct lane positioning.
