Scope
Recommended Practice establishing statistical head-position contours for the driver and passengers inside a vehicle, used to define headroom accommodation and several SAE J1100 spatial measures. Separate 95th- and 99th-percentile contours are defined by seat location, primarily for Class A vehicles with an appendix procedure for Class B. Relevant to driver eye/head placement, sightlines, and mirror/display geometry.
