Scope
Recommended Practice defining a uniform set of interior and exterior motor-vehicle dimensions and standard measurement procedures for passenger cars, multipurpose passenger vehicles, and trucks, primarily to capture design intent in a CAD environment. Establishes the driver-package geometry (H-point, seating reference, steering, pedal and headroom dimensions) on which driver accommodation, reach, and sightline standards depend. Generic to both the HPM (J826) and HPM-II (J4002).
