Scope
Standard providing measurement methods to determine the optical performance of vehicular (instrument-panel / centre-stack) displays across typical automotive ambient illumination, with emphasis on high ambient-contrast-ratio measurement critical to legibility in direct sunlight. Covers indoor measurement and simulated outdoor lighting. Supports human-factors evaluation of in-vehicle display readability for the driver.
