Scope
Standard defining optical measurement geometries and requirements for automotive head-up displays (HUD), including augmented-reality HUD (AR-HUD). Provides methods to determine HUD virtual-image optical performance (luminance, contrast, distortion, ghosting) under typical automotive ambient lighting using indoor measurement with simulated outdoor light. Supports driver-facing HUD legibility and image-quality evaluation.
