Scope
Information Report describing operator-interface elements, requirements, and test methods for forward collision warning (FCW) systems that alert drivers to impending rear-end collisions. Applies to OEM and aftermarket FCW systems on passenger cars, light trucks, and vans (not heavy trucks); does not address ACC integration.
