Scope
Information Report providing information for the human interface of lane departure warning (LDW) systems that alert drivers when the vehicle drifts out of its lane or from the roadway, to reduce unintentional-lane-departure crashes. The system does not take vehicle control. Applies to OEM and aftermarket LDW for light-duty vehicles. The 2007 version was titled 'Road/Lane Departure Warning Systems...'.
