Scope
Recommended Practice establishing a uniform powered-vehicle test procedure and minimum performance requirements for lane departure warning systems (LDWS) on highway trucks and buses over 4546 kg GVW. Tests lane-presence and unintended-departure detection, LDWS engage/disengage indication, and the point at which the system notifies the driver human-machine interface of a departure event. Excludes lane-keeping/assist, merge assist, and trailers.
