Scope
Information Report from the Active Safety and Driver Support Systems committee providing reference and background information on the sensors (radar, lidar, camera, ultrasonic, etc.) used by automotive active-safety systems. Identifies the functionality and performance expectable from active-safety sensors and establishes a basic understanding of how they work, supporting interpretation of ADAS capability and limitations relevant to driver reliance.
