Scope
Standard providing terminology, definitions, and a harmonized taxonomy for describing the operational design domain (ODD) and its elements for a driving automation system per SAE J3016 — the environmental, geographical, time-of-day, and traffic/roadway conditions under which a system or feature is designed to function. Supports consistent communication of automation operating limits relevant to driver hand-off, mode awareness, and reliance.
