Scope
Approval of motor-vehicle headlamps emitting an asymmetrical passing-beam and/or driving-beam using filament lamps and/or LED modules. Specifies the photometric beam pattern, cut-off and glare limits that determine night-time forward visibility for the driver and glare to oncoming drivers. One of the most widely fitted headlamp regulations; performance for new types is now also covered by R149.
