Scope
Type-approval requirements for the 180-degree forward field of vision of drivers of category M1 vehicles, ensuring an adequate view through the windscreen and other glazed surfaces when dry and clean. Limits the angle of obstruction of each 'A' pillar (not to exceed 6 degrees; 10 degrees for armoured vehicles), defines the transparent-area light-transmittance threshold (>=70%), and constrains obstructions from other body and interior elements within the driver's primary forward sightlines. Directly governs how much of the forward road scene the driver can perceive. 02 series of amendments developed by GRSG.
