Scope
Consolidated performance regulation for light-signalling devices (LSD): direction-indicator, stop, position, end-outline, reversing, fog and other signal lamps. Streamlines and supersedes the older device regulations (R4, R6, R7, R23, R38, R50, R77, R87, R91) for new types. Specifies luminous intensity, colour and geometry of the signals other drivers must perceive and correctly interpret, governing the conspicuity and legibility of a vehicle's communicative lighting.
