Scope
Approval of front fog lamps for vehicles of categories L3-L7, M, N and T. Specifies the wide, low, sharply cut-off beam designed to illuminate the road close to the vehicle in fog, rain or snow without back-scatter glare into the driver's own eyes. Directly governs driver forward vision in degraded-visibility conditions. Performance for new types is now also covered by R149.
