Scope
Approval of audible warning devices (horns) and of motor vehicles with regard to their audible signals. Specifies the acoustic characteristics (sound pressure level, frequency content, continuity) of the horn, the driver-operated warning channel used to alert other road users. Defines the device the driver actuates to communicate presence and intent in conflict situations.
