Scope
Approval of daytime running lamps (DRL) for motor vehicles. Specifies luminous intensity and geometry of the always-on daytime lamp intended to make an approaching vehicle more conspicuous to other drivers in daylight, reducing daytime detection failures. Performance for new types is now also covered by R148.
