The results indicate that the average mental workload for these drivers is high, with a mean NASA-TLX score of 52%. Specifically, 58.2% of respondents fell into the "high" workload category, while 41.8% were in the "moderately high" category. The primary contributors to this mental load were physical demand (19.96%) and effort (19.27%), followed by performance pressure (18.06%), temporal demand (17.74%), mental demand (14.36%), and frustration (10.60%). The high physical demand reflects the strenuous nature of riding in challenging urban environments, while the high effort score indicates the continuous exertion required to meet service targets. Notably, frustration levels were relatively low, suggesting drivers may perceive their workload as manageable despite its intensity. The study concludes that ojek online drivers in Banjarmasin face significant mental and physical challenges that require intervention. To mitigate these effects, the authors recommend that platform companies improve application quality, particularly GPS accuracy, to reduce navigation errors and stress. For drivers, the study emphasizes the importance of proper vehicle ergonomics, including maintaining relaxed shoulder and back postures, and managing work hours to prevent fatigue. These findings highlight the need for better support systems for informal transport workers to ensure their health and safety in high-demand digital labor markets.
