Scope
Specifies general requirements, performance requirements and test methods for blind spot detection (BSD) systems on road vehicles. BSD monitors the driver's lateral/rear visual blind areas in real time and issues prompts or warnings when obstacles are detected. Does not apply to road trains, articulated buses or special operating vehicles.
