Scope
Final agency decision (Docket NHTSA-2024-0077, 3 December 2024) adding four driver-facing ADAS technologies to US NCAP — blind spot warning (BSW), blind spot intervention (BSI), lane keeping assist (LKA), and pedestrian AEB (PAEB) — and enhancing existing AEB/FCW/LDW evaluations. Establishes a 10-year (2024-2033) roadmap of phased updates. Defines the recommended-technology performance tests that shape driver-warning and intervention behaviour in the US consumer-information program.
