Scope
Recommended Practice providing an analytic, multi-step calculation procedure (with elemental operator times for visual and manual sub-tasks) to estimate the time to complete in-vehicle navigation and route-guidance tasks such as destination entry, as an early-design means of estimating compliance with the J2364 15-second criterion. Applies to OEM and aftermarket navigation systems for passenger vehicles.
