Scope
Recommended Practice describing a process and well-defined criteria for testing whether the perceived meaning of in-vehicle symbols/icons matches the intended meaning for a representative sample of drivers. Developed especially for ITS active-safety, navigation, motorist-services, and infotainment symbols. Describes paper-and-pencil and electronic testing methods.
