Scope
Recommended Practice establishing test procedures and minimum performance requirements for forward collision warning (FCW) and automatic emergency braking (AEB) systems on highway trucks and buses over 4546 kg GVW. Defines lead-vehicle detection, driver-warning issuance, and automated braking response evaluation for heavy-vehicle rear-end-crash mitigation, including the driver human-machine-interface warning elements.
