Scope
Information Report providing a compendium of terms, definitions, abbreviations, and acronyms to establish common terminology for active-safety (driver-assistance) systems in engineering reports, diagnostics, and publications. Definitions describe functionality rather than technical specifications and cover Level 0 warning/momentary-intervention systems plus selected Level 1–2 features per SAE J3016. Aligned with NHTSA input and the 'Clearing the Confusion' consumer-naming work.
