Scope
Approval of special warning lamps (rotating/flashing beacons and beacon beams) for motor vehicles. Specifies colour, flash rate, luminous intensity and distribution for the high-conspicuity hazard signals used by emergency, recovery and works vehicles. Governs how readily other drivers detect and respond to a warning-equipped vehicle by day and night.
