Scope
Approval of rear marking plates for slow-moving vehicles (those that by construction cannot exceed 40 km/h) and their trailers. Specifies the distinctive retro-reflective/fluorescent triangular plate that warns an approaching driver of a much slower vehicle ahead, supporting earlier speed-differential detection and closing-speed judgement that prevents rear-end conflicts.
