What's here. Studies organized by vehicle and job type: truck driver fatigue, bus coach operation, and last mile delivery driving. Also fleet safety, which sits at the operator and carrier level (programs, policy, monitoring of driver groups) rather than at the level of an individual driver's cognition.

What isn't here.

• cyclist safety — Vulnerable Road Users. Easily mistaken for fleet safety here. Anything about cyclists as road users — including how drivers interact with them — is in vulnerable road users, not this category.
• the general fatigue and sleep-loss literature — Fatigue & Alertness. Truck driver fatigue here means fatigue studied in commercial drivers as an occupational population. Drowsiness mechanisms, sleep restriction, and time-on-task effects studied in drivers generally are in fatigue, which overlaps this category heavily.
• in-cab drowsiness and distraction detection systems — Driver State Monitoring (DMS). Detection algorithms and their validation live in driver state monitoring even when the deployment is a commercial fleet.
