Scope

The 2006 update of the European Statement of Principles (ESoP 2006), replacing the 1999 version. Summarises essential safe design and use aspects of the human-machine interface for in-vehicle information and communication systems, including design goals, installation, information presentation, and interaction principles, applying to in-vehicle, after-market and nomadic-device systems. Superseded by the 2008 update (2008/653/EC). Published in OJ L 32, 6.2.2007, p. 200-241.
