Scope
Specifies the operational design domain, system requirements, minimum performance requirements, and performance test procedures for low-speed automated driving (LSAD) systems operating on predefined routes. LSAD systems operate at Level 4 automation within a defined ODD at a maximum speed of 8.89 m/s (32 km/h), for applications such as last-mile transport and shuttle service in campus or commercial areas. It is the first international safety standard for fully automated (driverless) driving systems.
