Scope
Provides technical characteristics of partial driving automation (SAE Level 2) systems per ISO/SAE PAS 22736 and the associated control strategies that enable hands-free driving. Together with an appropriate operational design domain, these characteristics support the proper, driver-supervised use of such systems and establish a baseline framework, including for driver monitoring. The document does not address performance limits or verification/validation of such systems.
