Scope
MLIT study-group final report (3 March 2025) setting Japan's direction for revising safety standards and guidelines for Level 3/4 automated vehicles. Addresses driver-monitoring functions, takeover/transition demand handling and HMI expectations for conditional automation — i.e. the driver's role and supervision in automated driving.
