Scope
Approval of direction-indicator lamps (front, rear and side repeaters) for vehicles of categories L, M, N, O and T. Specifies luminous intensity, colour (amber), flashing behaviour and the failure-tell-tale relationship, governing the turn-signal cue other drivers rely on to anticipate a vehicle's intended manoeuvre. Performance for new types is now also covered by the consolidated R148.
