Scope
Specifies basic requirements for systems that notify the driver with warning and awareness messages about external hazards (e.g., slow vehicle indication, collision hazard warning, lane change assistance, red light warning, intersection crossing assistance). Covers the principle, timing and distance of notification and the information elements presented to the driver; detection/communication/presentation implementation methods are out of scope.
