cognitive aging

Cognitive aging as a foundational construct: age-related decline in processing speed (Salthouse), fluid intelligence, working memory and inhibitory function in normal aging, cognitive slowing theories, and lifespan trajectories of attention and executive function outside any driving context. The basic-science aging literature, distinct from older_drivers and age_related_perceptual_decline (driving-specific aging effects) and from mci_dementia_driving (clinical pathology and fitness to drive).
