multisensory crossmodal

Multisensory and crossmodal processing: integration of vision, audition, and touch, crossmodal spatial attention and cueing, multisensory facilitation and conflict, auditory and tactile capture of visual attention, and crossmodal correspondences (Spence). The foundational multisensory construct that underpins multimodal warning and display design, distinct from multimodal_feedback and auditory_warnings under HMI (the applied in-vehicle interfaces themselves).
