visual search

Visual search: finding targets among distractors, feature and conjunction search, guided search models, search slopes and efficiency, distractor suppression and attentional templates, and satisfaction of search in extended displays. The foundational search construct, distinct from eye_movements_scanning (where drivers look on the road) and from hazard_perception (detecting developing traffic hazards); papers whose core paradigm is locating targets in cluttered displays.
