Usage-based-insurance telematics: monitoring driving via devices or phone apps to price insurance and feed scored behavior (speeding, braking, mileage) back to drivers to change habits. Defined by the insurance-data and risk-scoring context. Differs from in_vehicle_coaching, which corrects the driver in real time during the drive, and from gamification_driving, which adds game mechanics rather than insurance-linked scoring, though UBI programs may borrow either.
