Peripheral sensory capacity for driving: visual acuity, contrast sensitivity, useful field of view, glare recovery, color and motion perception, plus auditory and tactile sensitivity as input-stage determinants of driving performance. This is the quality of sensory signal acquisition at the eye and ear, distinct from cognitive_capacity_variation (central processing of information once acquired) and from personality_driving and sex_gender, which concern disposition and demographics rather than sensation.
