eye movements scanning

Eye movements and visual scanning patterns during driving: the spatiotemporal sequence of fixations, saccades, and scanpaths recorded by eye-tracking — where the gaze lands, how it sweeps the road, mirrors, and scene, and dwell distribution. The OVERT oculomotor behavior itself, distinct from peripheral_attention (covert processing outside the fovea, no eye movement required), useful_field_of_view (a timed test of attentional breadth, not free-viewing gaze), and the interpretive constructs of hazard_perception and anticipation that those glances may serve.
