vru facing ehmi

External human-machine interfaces aimed at vulnerable road users: vehicle-mounted displays, lights, or signals that tell pedestrians and cyclists when it is safe to cross or convey an automated vehicle's intent and yielding decision. This is specifically the VRU-facing side of eHMI (the general eHMI tag lives elsewhere). It concerns engineered signaling hardware and its messages, distinct from informal human negotiation between drivers and VRUs (driver_vru_interaction) and from the VRU's own perception (pedestrian_behavior_perception).
